Creative Projects

Some of our student-created projects ranging from short films and music videos to skits and experimental pieces. Each one explores storytelling through visuals, sound, and emotion. We like capturing ideas that might be small in scale but big in creativity!

MR. MYERS

Created as part of the 48-Hour Film Challenge for the 11th Annual Footcandle Film Festival, this short film was our team’s entry in the Detective/Police genre. Each team was assigned unique prompts, which for us included the line of dialogue: “I know they’re technically weeds, but I think dandelions are beautiful” and the use of a kazoo as a required prop.

Our film went on to win both the Judges’ Scoring Award and the Audience Award at the festival!

On a tense soundstage, chaos simmers just beneath the surface. As a take spirals out of control, the line between performance and reality violently blurs. "Boom" is a darkly cinematic behind-the-scenes descent into power, perfectionism, and one very unfortunate sound guy.
